This is a great project for stash yarns of similar colors in a range of weights and textures. This pattern has 2 versions (straight or diagonal sides). Make it wild by using lots of different yarns (ribbon, faux fur, chunky, mohair, hand-paint, etc). The fringed sides are made using overhand knots leaving 6 inch tails with each exchange so there are no ends to back-weave. Extra fringe can be added at the end if you desire a fuller look. For very thick yarns, do just 1 row. For very thin yarns, work 2 or 3 strands together and work multiple rows. The entire scarf is knit in garter stitch so it is easy pattern but looks elegant and complicated.

Private use only, no commercial re-production.

Finished size: any size you desire just add more or less to the cast on to make it wider or narrower, as shown 5 inches wide by 60 inches long.
