A large, cozy shawl that will keep you warm even as the snow falls around you! The Make Waves shawl is named so because one of the colorways I used shares my name.. Morrigan, and not only do I have a tendency to make waves in my everyday life but so does the goddess I was named after.

Hailing from Ireland, a country surrounded by unending oceans, in mythology the goddess Morrigan, the Phantom Queen, shakes things up wherever she goes. My family originally comes from Ireland as well, and I’ll add that not only does my lineage have a habit of making waves, so do the Irish in general.

I want to encourage every knitter to make waves in their life, keep your chin up, your shoulders back, and never back down from what you believe in. Make Waves!

Original is knit using four skeins of UndercoverOtter yarn in Mighty Merino 2.0, using Morrigan and Gwynne colorways, two skeins of each color. Other examples are from test knitters and they used

Materials:
3.25mm (U.S. 3) 24” circular needles
3.25mm (U.S. 3) cabling needle
7 stitch markers
Row counter
Darning needle

Make Waves utilizes brioche, double knitting, and cabling. If you have no experience with double knitting or brioche, it is a good beginning project for either one! If you do have experience with either, then it should prove to be quite the easy knit for you.
