Making Bubbles Beanie is a hat knit in the round from the bottom up. It uses two strands of DK yarn held together and requires two different colors to achieve the ombré effect.

SIZE:
Teen (adult): to fit a head circumference of 21 (23)”/ 53 (58) cm
Hat depth: 8 (8.5)” / 20 (21.5) cm

YARN:
DK weight yarn in two colors held together. (Stylecraft Special DK in shades Duck Egg and Parma violet were used in the sample.)
Color A: 135 - 150 yds/42- 50 gr
Color B: 65 -75 yds/ 20 -24 gr

NEEDLES:
US 7/ 4.5 mm round 16”/ 40cm
US 8/ 5 mm round 16”/ 40cm
Double pointed needles in US 8/ 5 mm.

GAUGE:
16 Sts/ 22 rows = 4”/ 10 cm in bubble stitch pattern on larger needles.

NOTIONS:
Stitch markers, tapestry needle.
