The design is an attempt to capture in knitting all that the Wool on the Exe has brought to and inspired in my life illustrated by the stitch patterns. The dots are individuals coming together and connecting through their common interest in fibre crafts. The wave pattern represents the influence, the waves, that these connections made through the craft and Wool on the Exe make in their lives.
The colours I chose for the design remind me of the reflections in the water of the Exe and the changing clouds in the sky. The light blue colour also has pink and yellow tweed neps reminding me of Exeter roses against brick walls.

A long DK infinity scarf worked flat and joined at the end to make a loop. The design incorporates textured stitches, stripes and slipped stitch colour work.

The size can be altered through changing the length of the knitted piece before joining to a loop.

Errata for the book (corrected in the single pattern)

In the Wave pattern Row 12-19 should read “repeat rows 10-11 four times” and Row 20: “repeat row 10”. After Row 20, continue in Yarn A and repeat rows 1-20 (not 2-20).
