This fun little project has been designed for sock knitters as it contains the same elements - except for the heel!

  • It can be used as a little treasure/transport bag or reusable gift packaging
  • It is a great way to use up leftovers
  • It makes a wonderful little present for someone who just appreciates handmade beauty

Malas or prayer beads…in Tibetan Buddhism they are mainly used for counting mantras. They consist of 108 beads to remind of the 108 volumes of Buddhas complete teachings. I am using my mala every day, keeping it in a mala bag.

Counting mantras, knitting, living – round and round in joyful activity, not only for oneself but also for others.

Wishing that all beings may enjoy happiness!

Materials needed:

  • 20g sock yarn or any other 4ply yarn (variegated, solid, one or several colours, leftovers…), DPNs 2,5 mm, darning needle, optional: buttons, appliques, crocheted ornaments, ribbon, cords, beads…

  • and your amazing creativity! :)
