Named for a seaside neighbourhood near Dublin, Malahide is a round yoked sweater, worked seamlessly from the top-down with pretty stranded colour work in the yoke and around the edges. Made with cropped sleeves and body, the sweater could easily be made longer.

YARN
I used a lovely lambswool from Townhouse yarns, Olla No.2 (100% Lambswool; 410 m/448 yds per 100g skein) in main colour Port; 2 (3, 3, 3, 3)(3, 4, 4, 4) skeins, and contrast colour Embrace; 1 skein.

If substituting for another fingering/4ply weight yarn, you will need approximately:

Main colour
180 (205, 220, 245, 260)(290, 305, 330, 345) grams
740 (840, 900, 1005, 1065)(1190, 1250, 1355, 1415) metres 810 (920, 985, 1100, 1165)(1300, 1365, 1480, 1545) yards
Contrast colour
30 (35, 40, 40, 45)(50, 55, 55, 60) grams
125 (145, 165, 165, 185)(205, 225, 225, 245) metres 135 (160, 180, 180, 200)(225, 245, 245, 270) yards

SIZES
1 (2, 3, 4, 5)(6, 7, 8, 9)
This sweater is meant to have a generous fit with a bit of positive ease. I am modelling size 3 and I have a 91 cm/36 inch bust.

I will be chatting about the pattern in the next episode of the EastLondonKnit podcast:)
