Malawi Mosaic is a combination of 6 main designs - Maasai warrior, Zebra, Shields, Elephant, Baobab Tree and Mask and 6 in between designs, influenced by my time in Malawi.

It is a mosaic overlay crochet design with charts and full written instructions (example in photos). The pattern includes a chart for printing and a larger chart which can be used on an electronic device.

Each design is a simple 42 stitch repeat so your project can be as large or as small as you want. You can also use individual designs for other projects. These are clearly marked with the charts and the written instructions.

The written pattern is done in both US and UK terms.

Go wild with your colours and use up odd bits for the small patterns and a bit more for the larger designs. The patterns gives you an approximation of yarn weight per design.

My pictured design is 5 repeats and measures 60 inches x 84 inches and has a plain black envelope border consisting of 2 treble rows front and back.
