Classy, lightweight, wearable. The fine gauge and double knit buttonband add refined finishing touches to this wardrobe staple. The sophisticated deep V-neck and the saddle shoulder construction elevate any outfit. The Malinois is a cardigan for any occasion, and pairs beautifully with dresses, skirts, jeans, camisoles, and tees.

This pattern is part of a bundle discount with the Children’s Malinois Cardigan, both patterns can be purchased for a total of $13. No coupon code needed. Past purchases count towards the bundle price.

Construction: The Malinois is a saddle shoulder construction, worked flat, top-down, and seamlessly. The shoulders are shaped with short rows, both in the front and the back. The set-in sleeves are picked up around the armhole, a sleeve cap is shaped with short rows, and then the sleeve is knit in the round. Finally, stitches are picked up and a double knit buttonband is worked. The pattern includes instructions for buttonholes using any size and quantity of buttons.

This pattern has been professionally tech edited by Hannah of Works of Our Hands, and has been test knitted.
