This is a beautiful purse that was designed for the person’s name I had for a Secret Santa Exchange I had in my testing team in 2020. Her nickname is Mama Bear and she loves all things boho. She both needed and wanted a new purse for Christmas so I set out to design this for her.

This pattern works up surprisingly quick and makes use of the Crocodile Stitch! I have included a photo tutorial to help with this stitch. Testers said this purse worked up quickly and easily and the photos and stitch description made it super simple to follow! Even if you have never done the crocodile stitch you should be able to get the hang of it pretty quick with this pattern! I hope you enjoy!

This pattern is written with instructions for making an interchangeable and removable strap! There is a plexi glass insert option to make the bottom inside flat and sturdy. It also includes options and tutotorials for how to line the purse, add an inside pocket and embellish with a tassle to give it an extra boho touch.

You will need a 9mm hook and worsted 4 weight yarn in one or two colors. The purse final size is 12 x 12 x 4 inches.

Gauge:
Not critical but if you would like to match it as close as possible:
Row 1: With two strands Ch 13, hdc in 2nd ch from hook, hdc next 11.
Row 2 - 6: Turn, hdc 12, ch 1.
4 Stitches = approx 2 inches
6 Rows = approx 4 inches

Sizing:
Purse is approximately 12 x 12 x 12 x 4 inches.
