This pattern is for both the mama and baby mice as well as all of the clothing and accessories shown. The two baby mice tuck inside mama mouse’s tummy, making this a unique toy for imaginative, educational family role play.

The set includes a pram, moses basket, nappies / diapers, blankets, bottles, hats, a bottle bag, sling / baby carrier as well as clothing and cheese for mama mouse!

This design is perfect for handmade gifts, nurseries, classrooms, and anyone who loves creating toys for meaningful play.

The pattern contains lots of photos to help you every step of the way. It is written in English, using American crochet terms. All of my patterns have been independently tested prior to publication.

You will need:
Yarn of your choice. Yarn weight doesn’t really matter - the size of your project will simply turn out bigger or smaller! I used King Cole Cherished DK (equivalent to weight 3 / light worsted weight) and my finished mouse measures approximately 10cm tall. Please ensure that you use the same weight yarn throughout your project.

For the mouse (pages 4 - 8), you will need the following colours:

• Cream - for the main body colour (approx. 38m per mouse).
• Pale pink - for the nose, ears, feet & tail (approx. 13m per mouse).

For the 2 baby mice (pages 9 - 10), you will need the following colours:

• Cream - for the main body colour (approx. 10m to make 2 baby mice).
• Pale pink - for the nose, ears, feet & tail (approx. 2.5m to make 2 baby mice).

For Mama mouse’s clothing (pages 11 - 13), you will need the following colours:

• Blue - for her dungarees (approx. 8m).
• White - for her top (approx. 12.5m).

For the pram (pages 14 - 16), you will need the following colours:

• Dark grey - for the bassinet colour (approx. 11m).
• Light Grey - for the wheels and handle (approx. 12.5m).

For the remaining accessories (pages 14, 16 - 18), you will need the following colours:

• Yellow - for the cheese, 1 blanket, 1 bottle & 1 hat (approx. 7m).
• White - for the 2 nappies / diapers & 2 bottles (approx. 7m).
• Brown - for the bag & moses basket (approx. 20m).
• Lilac - for 1 blanket, 1 bottle & 1 hat (approx. 5.5m).
• Dark grey - for the sling / baby carrier (approx. 4.5m).

Please note - The amount of yarn used will vary according to yarn weight, hook size and stitch tension so these measurements are only a rough guide. The pattern refers to the colours that I used, however these can be substituted for colours of your choice.

You will also need:

• A suitable size hook for the yarn you have chosen - I used a 4mm hook.
• A pair of 6mm black safety eyes per mama mouse.
• Some toy stuffing.
• A small amount of black finer yarn or thread for adding the details to the faces.
• Other tools you will need are a tapestry needle, some scissors and some stitch markers.
