Mandadoily
The Colourful CAL’s/KAL’s & Projects Group is celebrating their five year anniversary, as part of the celebrations us mods are gifting little patterns and this is my contribution.
As the designer I couldn’t tell whether this should be classed as Mandala or a Doily (hence the name).
There is no specific yarn to use although I would recommend a cotton yarn to make stitch definition pop. I used Scheepjes Catona and a 3.5mm hook. Using different yarn and hook will change the size of your pattern.
It’s a small pattern at only 14 rounds, so I used only four colours. You can make it one solid colour, to save on cutting and weaving in ends, in which case just slip stitch to where the beginning of the next round will start. Alternatively you can go wild have a different colour for each round.
