I think most of us own one of these, micro bean bag type neck pillows.
While they are so soft, squishy and useful, they tend to be made with synthetic fabrics and in the hot weather and not particularly comfortable against the skin…. or when us ladies of a certain age have those “hot moments”.
So I decided to make a cover for mine with cotton so it would be cool and comfortable in the warm weather but still cosy and cushy in the cooler weather.
I started the design last week, while I was away.
The ends are based on a traditional Mandala pattern of a circle with a flower in the centre and stitches radiating outwards.
For the main, centre part I used shells and flowersclusters to remind me of the beautiful countryside and the beach.

I used Stylecraft Classique Cotton Double Knit and 4mm hook.
Approx 500 yards.
Colours: Lavender, Silver, Greek Blue, Sky Blue, and Heather.
