Note: This pattern was Tempe Yarn & Fiber’s 10th Mystery-Along. For those who missed the Knitalong, now is your chance to be part of the fun.

The Manic Moeibus Mystery pattern is for those a little out of touch with reality who like the unexpected. It is a true moebius using Cat Bordhi’s cast on, but the pattern is created seemingly by randomness. As you work on this project don’t worry about form and structure, simply follow the pattern and be prepared to be surprised.

The pattern has clear step-by-step directions, yet is not something you can chart or predict. You won’t get bored knitting this, because about the time you get the hang of one section the next will bring a whole new craziness.

Your finished project will be a small neck warmer or cowl, so it’s a quick knit that would make a great gift or a treat for yourself. We used Heritage Silk by Cascade Yarns, a wonderful sock yarn that has a fantastic hand and lends itself well to scarves, shawls and moebii.

Enjoy the pattern and please post pictures of your completed moeibus.
