In just a few short weeks, the hazy, humid days of high summer will become a distant memory and the mornings--and evenings--will become a little chillier. Chances are, before long you’ll be reaching for a cozy sweater, or at the very least, a knitted accessory. This cowl, with its palest of blue hue and a shimmer of silk, reminds us of the layer of mist that forms on the Big Water on early fall mornings. Knit in the round, the herringbone pattern is quick to memorize and on size 8 needles, it makes for a project you should have no problem finishing within two weeks. You can wear this cowl in several different ways (as shown below)--the shawl pin adds an extra touch.
