The name of this sweater is a play on fair-isle and “Many-Colored Land”. I wanted to design a cardigan that used several fair-isle motifs in a different way. I juxtaposed the herringbone with the seventies flower motif on the front, the gingham with the leopard, and on the back something different as well!

This takes some knitting and concentration, but the end result will be fabulous. A classic keeper cardigan to be proud of!

It’s knit in the round, bottom-up, with steeks for front, armholes, neck and sleeve caps. The fronts have picked-up stitches to create a sturdy double buttonband.

The Colourmart yarns are held together for each color. The alternative regular laceweight yarn is held single.
