The Maple Slouch comes in two versions – one with lace and garter stripes and one with a single lace panel surrounded by a garter stitch body. Both are a great introduction to following charts and working lace. Not to mention this hat is a quick knit and perfect for that single skein you have lying around!

The instructions for the lace and crown shaping are charted.
