The “Marbled vest” is a cropped vest with a lot of positive ease. For the stitch patterns, I picked up the two-color brioche stitch for the front and the Single Tuck stitch for the back. The vest is worked side to side. The front of the vest has strong horizontal lines while the back exhibits a checkered pattern that resembles the careful tile work of an artist. While the brioche stitch pattern is very stretchy the tuck stitch pattern makes the fabric denser. The silk/wool Ginkgo yarn by “Berroco” makes the vest light and drapey. If you want to substitute the yarn, think about a drapey yarn such as alpaca/wool, silk/wool blend.
