The Marcambelle tee is a boxy summer tee with drop-shoulder construction. It is knitted top-down without seams.
The tee is started at the back using seed stitch pattern, then in textured stitch.
Then stitches are picked up for the shoulders and worked as the front of the tee. The front and back are joined at underarm and the body is then worked in the round in a circular pattern, using a textured stitch all along the body.
Featuring stockinette, purl and elongated stitches - a fun succession that makes it really exciting and pleasant to knit.
Stitches are then picked up from the body for the sleeves , which are knitted using the same textured stitch as the body, and can be knitted short, ¾ or long sleeves.

For a summer version I would recommend linen, viscose or cotton blend yarns that have a lot of drape. If you wish to make a warmer wintery version, choose yarn with high wool content.

This pattern has been designed to be made with different qualities of yarn. Choose one for which the rendering of your swatch will be slightly off-weight and supple.

Approx.
• Short sleeves version: (410, 500, 620) 750, 880, 1000 (1110, 1240, 1320) m of similar weight yarn.

• Long sleeves version: (530, 620, 740) 880, 1010, 1140 (1160, 1370, 1480) m of similar weight yarn.

Gauge : 18 sts x 24 rounds = 10 cm /4 inches in textured stitch on larger needles, after blocking.

Needles 
• 5 mm US 8 circular needles for the body and sleeves.
• 4mm US 6 circular needles for ribbing.

Always use the needle size that gives you the right gauge! Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.

Marcambelle est un pull léger avec une construction épaules tombantes. Il se tricote du haut vers le bas (top-down) sans couture. 

On commence par réaliser le dos, les mailles sont ensuite relevées aux épaules pour venir former chaque demi-devant. Dos et devant sont ensuite réunis et tricotés ensemble en circulaire en réalisant tout au long du corps un point texturé mêlant mailles endroit et envers.
Les manches sont tricotées en circulaire en reprenant le point texturé réalisé sur le corps, vous pouvez les tricotez courtes, ¾ ou longues.

Pour une version estivale, privilégiez les fis contenant du coton, du lin, de la viscose, du tencel ou des mélanges qui auront un beau drapé. Pour une version hivernale, privilégiez les fibres animales plus chaudes.

Le modèle de présentation a été tricoté en « Erika knight yarns» dans la base Gossypium cotton, 100% coton (100 m/50g).

Ce design a été pensé pour pouvoir être réalisé avec différentes qualités de fil. Privilégier un fil ou un mélange de fil pour lequel le rendu de votre échantillon sera plutôt déjaugé et souple.

Métrage
• Version manches courtes : environ (410, 500, 620) 750, 880, 1000 (1110, 1240, 1320) m.

• Version manches longues : environ (530, 620, 740) 880, 1010, 1140 (1160, 1370, 1480) m.

Échantillon : 18 mailles x 24 rangs avec le point texturé pour un carré tricoté de 10 cm par 10 cm après blocage.

Du fait des mailles allongées vous n’aurez pas forcément le bon échantillon en rang, pour y palier, dans le patron, toutes les mesures clefs sont indiquées en cm. Tant que l’écart reste raisonnable, privilégier donc un échantillon correct en nombre de mailles (largeur).

Matériel 
Aiguille circulaire en 5 mm ou de la taille nécessaire pour obtenir le bon échantillon.
Aiguille circulaire en 4 mm pour les finitions des manches et de l’encolure.
