Mareas
Mareas is Spanish for ‘tides’ and this triangular shawl captures the strength and rhythm of the sea. Flowing cables and an airy lace stitch pattern echo the rise and retreat of waves, always in motion, always beginning anew. The design is timeless yet modern, perfect for cozy wear in both urban and outdoor settings.
While the design makes a bold impression, the knitting stays approachable. The cables are straightforward and the lace is worked only on right-side rows. Refined edges frame the shawl for a sophisticated finish. Each row is written out with stitch counts to guide you, and the repeats are also charted for those who prefer a visual reference.
Wrap yourself in Mareas and carry a touch of the tide wherever you go.
