It’s the perfect little Doodah to cover your shoulders, anytime of year. Knitted from the top down with a slightly rolled neckline, from where it grows over your shoulders giving you ample space to move around in as you can see in the photos. The lower part gets an another single color added to mush the colors around a bit.

It’s an easy knit too, just knits, yarn overs and knitting two stitches together. The finished topper measures 11” in height and 97” in the bottom circumference.

Yarn A skein of Lustrous, a self striping sport weight yarn. 380 yards/100 grams a skein in a 70% cotton/30% viscose.
A skein of Linen, 197 yards in a fingering weight yarn in a 50/50 linen/viscose. Knit kits at Yarnz2go.

Notions needed:
Two US size 3 (3.25 mm) circular needles. One 16” (42 cm) and one 36” (91 cm) in lengths.
US size 8 (5 mm) circular needle 36” (91 cm) in length.
A stitch marker to mar the beginning of rounds.
Tapestry needle or crochet hook for finishing.

Gauge: 19 sts and 26 rows in 4” of stockinette stitch.

Techniques applied: Knitting in the round, yarn overs, knitting two stitches together, adding another yarn to knit with two strands, changing needle size to make it grow more, stretchy bind off, weaving in ends and blocking for best results.
