Marigold the Bumblebee
Bumblebees are the gentle, fluffy giants of the pollination world. Their favorite flowers have blue, purple & yellow blooms. Marigold’s yellow flower hides a special secret: she plays music when pulled from her head!
ABOUT THE PATTERN
The PDF pattern includes detailed instructions on everything you need to know to crochet Marigold the Bumblebee, and the bigger plush variant Goldberry the Bumblebee. There are optional instructions to add a music box inside the bumblebee to turn it into a musical toy. The pattern can be followed step-by-step and is accompanied by photos for all the trickier parts.
Next to the written pattern, the PDF includes a list of all needed materials & tools, a table of all stitch types/abbreviations required for this pattern, and also a tutorial section with detailed explanations for some of the more unusual used stitches and techniques. The exact yarn colors & skein amounts I used are also included in the pattern.
ABOUT THE FINISHED BUMBLEBEES
With the hook size and yarn type I use, the finished Marigold is & around 13 cm long, 7.5 cm tall, and around 7.5 cm wide (always measured at the widest part excluding the legs). Goldberry is roughly one third bigger than Marigold.
