Description

The Marigold top is a light cotton-wool top, which makes for a quick and easy summer project. It is knit in the round from the bottom up until the armholes, where front and back are split and worked separately. The top half of the upper body has a delicate diagonal lace pattern, which gives it an airy and light look. The lace pattern is mirrored on the lower border with a small eyelet pattern.

The shape of the lower body is straight without waist shaping, allowing thus for a comfortable ease for the upper body. Edges of both sleeves and neckline are made neat by picking up stitches and knitting two purled rounds.

This pattern is suited for newer knitters that are looking for a new challenging with knitting lace, since it gives detailed description and a chart to guide you through the upper part of the body.
