The inspiration for this scarf design comes from the song “Diamonds are a girls best friend” which was famously sung by Marilyn Monroe in the classic 1953 film adaptation of the Broadway musical “Gentlemen Prefer Blondes”. This scarf has a diamond eyelet stitch pattern panel that means you to can drape yourself in diamonds just like the lady herself.

Knit in one piece from edge to edge, the scarf is wide enough to wrap around your shoulders on colder days. The pattern sample has been knit in fingering/sock weight yarn but you can adapt to use any yarn by increasing or decreasing the repeats.

Yarn
The pattern sample was made using fingering yarn. However, if you decide to substitute with a different yarn please make sure to check you have enough to complete your project as yardage will differ from that indicated in the pattern.
