Mariniere Beanie
The pattern is written in details and you can access video tutorials to learn the techniques or refresh your memory.
It is an excellent project for a beginner who is ready to add a few moves, and slightly increase their knowledge.
It is knitted in the round, using Knit and Purl stitches for garter and stockinette textures.
And elastic cast-on insures a better fit (recommended Chinese WAitress CO)
You will practice stripes and change of color in the round, and decreases to finish the beanie and close it.
Multiple sizes are available, and the sizing was defined using the yarn by Brooknit Bonneterie (worsted 100% Merino super-wash).
We recommend circular needles US size 8 (5mm) - 24in (60cm) for an adult size.
It uses about 2oz (50g) of yarn in the main color, and a little less than 1oz for the secondary color (20g) for an adult size.
Our design “Mariniere” is primarily defined with navy and white (SLATE and MERINGUE from Brooknit Bonneterie); but feel free to be creative, and use your favorites!
