The Marion Bonnet is designed in a gorgeous vintage style and is suitable for a proficient beginner to crochet. The back of the bonnet is worked in rounds. You will not turn after each round until you get to the shell stitch pattern. Make sure you always skip the slip stitch. If you don’t, you will end up with one extra stitch. The shell pattern is worked in multiples of 6 plus one, so you will need to leave the specified amount of stitches at the back of the bonnet unworked to start the shell pattern. Another thing to remember is that when your next stitch is a chain, always work into the chain space. After the bonnet is complete the straps are added directly onto the bonnet, no joining at all so you will only have two ends to weave in! How amazing is that? This bonnet is extremely quick to make and can be completed in an evening. Enjoy making your very own Marion Bonnet. Check out the matching Marion Dress to complete the look!
