I’ve been to the local Saturday market many times in every city or town we’ve lived in but the one in Esther Short Park will always be special. I am enthusiastic to go from booth to booth because it changes so often, and the artisans of Vancouver never fail to surprise and delight. With a simple construction and a blend of lace and twisted stitches, this heart-shaped shawl takes one skein of sock yarn and beads if you choose to include them. Part of what is so special about local markets is being able to share the gems you find with friends and family and this one is mine to share with you.
