Now in two sizes! This practical market bag is perfect for a quick trip to the grocery, or for toting along your current knitting project! Knit with two colors of Queensland Cairns, a sturdy cotton/acrylic blend – the unique two-colored chain construction yields fabulous, colorful results! Starting with a square bottom knit flat, stitches are picked up along all edges to knit the body of the bag in the round. The basketweave pattern is created with a slip-stitch mosaic stitch, and the top edge and handles are double thick for a professional, finished edge.

Pattern is suitable for knitters that are comfortable knitting in the round, picking up stitches, and reading a pattern. I highly recommend using the suggested yarn to achieve the color and pattern of the sample shown.

YarnScout has put together kits for this project! The large sample shown at the left was knit with the Tundra color kit. Take the guesswork out of color selection, or choose from their selection of Queensland Cairns and create your own look.
