Are you ready for Rhinebeck?? I wanted a marled fade skirt to wear this year, so I designed this pattern!

The pattern is written for a 34 to 36-inch waist and is approximately 17-inches long, but also has specific instructions to customize the size to your own dimensions. Holding the yarn double allows for a gradual transition of color, by dropping one strand and adding one strand of the next color as you knit around the skirt.

Very simple construction, with a few “advanced beginner” techniques, this pattern is perfect for knitters of all skill levels. The body of the skirt is knit from hem to waist (sideways), then stitches are picked up along the top edge to form the waistband.

The pattern uses 4 skeins (4 different colors) of fingering weight yarn (463 yds/skein) for the body, and one skein for the waistband.

I hope to see you at Rhinebeck 2017!
