A great simple hat pattern to use up leftovers in your stash.

Size: Child (Adult Small, Medium, Large); 19 (20.5, 22, 23) inches around

Gauge: 18 stitches and 22 rounds / 4 inches of stockinette stitch

Needles: US 6 / 4mm 16” circular needle, US 8 / 5mm 16” circular and double pointed needles (or as required to meet gauge)

Notions: stitch markers, darning needle

Note:
Sample shown is knit holding a sport weight and a fingering weight yarn together. This hat can also be knit with a single stand of worsted weight yarn.

Paige’s hat is knit with stripes. My stripes are 3 rows and I just carried the yarn up as I went. I knit the ribbing and the first stockinette round in all one colour before starting the stripes.
