Gather a colorful pile of fingering weight yarn to knit this marled masterpiece. The instructions include three sizes to help you stashbust your fingering weight yarns by holding two strands together throughout the entire project. The semi-circular shape is composed of seven sections with zig zag increases and decreases to form the jagged lines. Each new section is attached to the previous section as you knit, so you work one section at a time without seaming. This modular construction allows you to play with a different color story for each section, which yields a beautifully clashing color effect. I-cord edges frame the shawl with easy garter stitch knitting. Let your imagination run wild as you customize the colors and create a unique color story from your yarn collection!

Sizes
Small (Medium, Large)

Sample shown in Large size. It’s a massive shlanket! The sizes are easy to customize by simply binding off each section early. I love the Large size as a cozy marled blanket for the couch. The small size is a very nice and generous size as well.

Finished Measurements
74 (100, 120)″ / 188 (254, 305)cm wingspan length, 29 (37, 46)″ / 74 (94, 117)cm along the center from CO to BO edge. Measurements taken after blocking.

Yarn
Fingering weight held double

Two strands of fingering weight yarn are held together throughout the entire shawl, producing a DK weight fabric thickness.

Yarn is held double throughout the entire fabric. The yardage estimations reflect the total amount of yarn required.
