Marlon Hat is a squishy cabled hat knitted in The Yarn Collective’s Hudson Worsted. As soon as I got my hands on this yarn I was amazed by its softness and beautiful stitch defnition. It is like made for knitting cables. I wanted to create something that was as
warm and soft as our kitten Marlon, who napped on my lap during the whole time I worked on this design. I hope this hat will keep you as warm as well.

women’s medium (women’s medium with folded brim, men’s medium, men’s medium with folded brim)
To ft head sizes 53-56, (53-56, 58-61, 58-61) cm / 21-22 (21-22, 23-24, 23-24) inches, to be worn with 15 cm / 6 inches of negative ease
Length of brim: 7.5 (15, 7.5, 15) cm / 3 (6, 3, 6) inches

Needles
• 4.0 mm / US size 6 circular needles with a 40 cm / 16” cable
• 4.5 mm / US size 7 circular needles with a 40 cm / 16” cable
• 4.5 mm / US size 7 dpns
• 4.5 mm / US size 7 cable needle
Note: Always use the size of needles that gets you the right gauge!

Gauge
• 25 sts x 28 rounds = 10 cm / 4” over the ribbing with smaller needles, unstretched
• 27 sts x 28 rounds = 10 cm / 4” over the cable pattern with larger needles
