Marlowe is the perfect blanket for the nursery or on the go. I was looking to create a simple blanket that can remain neutral, but also add a lovely pop of color to accentuate my little one’s room. This pattern had the unique ability to be as muted or colorful as your heart desires. The possibility of color combinations makes this the perfect blanket to make for every little one needing a special gift, or even a few with color variation for the same bundle of joy.

Gauge:
16 sts and 9 rows / 4”

Hook Size:
4.5mm

Yarn:
Light (3) yarn of your choice.

Approximate Yardage:
Color A: 415 yards
Color B: 316 yards
Color C: 85 yards

This blanket measures approximately 34” x 26”, which is the size I generally make all of my baby blankets in. I find these dimensions to be appropriate for home and on the go.

You can customize this blanket to any size. In order to do so, your foundation row will need to be adjusted to the desired width of your blanket. From there, add as many stripes as needed for the appropriate length. You can also use different weight yarns to make this pattern your own. Any customization will change the amount of yarn needed.
