“Oh what a tangled web we weave, when first we practice to deceive”
Sir Walter Scott, 1808.

(With apologies to Sir Walter Scott for shamelessly using this poem out of context!)

This started off as a design for a beanie for Halloween however I think I would wear this at any time! My graphic designer has also requested one with a blue and red background to represent spider man!

Knitted completely in the round using Jamiesons of Shetland Spindrift in the following shades.

Jamieson’s of Shetland Spindrift (100% pure Shetland Wool: 105m/26g) in the following quantities:

MC – Black 999 x 1
CC1 – Amber 478 x 1
CC2 – Paprika 261 x 1
CC3 – Ginger 462 x 1

The pattern gives instructions for one spider on the hat but of course you could add more if you wish or none if you are an arachnophobe!
