BESCHREIBUNG

Der MARTA Summer Cardigan ist eine luftig leichte Mohair Strickjacke mit kleinem Schalkragen und schmalen Ärmeln. Wahlweise können 2 verschiedene Saum- und Ärmelabschlüsse gearbeitet werden (Glattpatent oder I-Cord).

Der Cardigan wird von oben nach unten in einem Stück mittels Zunahmen an der Schulterpasse und Maschen-aufnahmen aus den Strickteilen gestrickt. Zunächst wird der hintere Kragen mittels prov. Anschlag begonnen und in beide Richtungen gestrickt. Anschließend werden Maschen aus der Längsseite des Kragens aufgenommen und Zunahmen entlang der Schulterpasse gestrickt, wobei zu Beginn gleichzeitig verkürzte Reihen (optional) für die Formung des hinteren Halsausschnittes gearbeitet werden.

Nachdem alle Zunahmen entlang der Schulterpasse gearbeitet wurden, wird zuerst das rechte Vorderteil, dann das Rückenteil, zum Schluss das linke Vorderteil bis zu den Armausschnitten gestrickt, anschließend wieder gemeinsam unter den Armen verbunden und das Unterteil gemeinsam beendet. Für die Ärmel werden Maschen aus dem Armausschnitt aufgenommen und in Runden gestrickt.

Durch die Top-Down-Technik und den geraden kastigen Schnitt kann das Modell sehr leicht in den Längen angepasst werden. Der Cardigan kann sowohl lässig offen getragen werden als auch mit einem schmalen Gürtel sehr feminin wirken. Der schmale Schalkragen umschmeichelt und wärmt dabei wunderbar den Hals. Durch die schmalen Ärmel passt der MARTA Summer Cardigan auch prima unter einen Regenparka und wird dich somit noch wunderbar durch den Herbst und Winter begleiten.

Die Anleitung enthält eine ausführliche Modellskizze mit allen Maßangaben, eine blanko Skizze für Notizen oder Umrechnungen, sowie eine technische Zeichnung für die verkürzten Reihen am hinteren Halsausschnitt.

DESCRIPTION
The MARTA Summer Cardigan is an airy Mohair cardigan with a narrow shawl collar and slim sleeves. You can choose between two finishing options (Brioche or I-cord).
The cardigan is knit from the top down, increasing at the shoulders, and picking up stitches along the knit pieces. You start at the back neck with a provisional cast-on, knitting the collar in both directions. You will then pick up stitches along the length of the collar and increase along the shoulders while at the same time knitting short rows to form the back neck (optional).

Once you have worked all increases along the shoulders you will continue the fronts individually up to the armholes before joining the pieces again and knitting them as one down to the bind-off. For the sleeves you pick up stitches from the armhole and then continue to knit in the round.

The top-down approach and the boxy shape of the cardigan make it really easy to adapt the length. You can wear the cardigan open in a very relaxed way, or cinch it in with a slim belt for a more feminine look. The small shawl collar hugs and warms your neck and the fitted sleeves make it easy for you to wear this under a raincoat, which means that you will get lots of wear out of it even in fall and winter.

The pattern comes with detailed schematics that include all relevant measurements, a blank version for your notes and calculations and a technical drawing explaining the short rows in the back.

Basic pattern: stockinette (knit on the right side, purl on the wrong side), knit all stitches when working in the round.

GAUGE
In basic pattern with 2 strands on 7 mm in rows or rounds, adjusting needle size if necessary: 13 stitches x 18 rows = 10 x 10 cm

Knitting needle size 6 for the provisional cast-on and a crochet hook to match
