Visually interesting, with blocks of garter stitch and yarn overs, this scarf is a quick knit with a stitch pattern that is easily memorized. It is a great project for the newer knitter who is looking to kick up her skills to the next level and yet interesting enough to keep the seasoned knitter engaged. The scarf can be made wider by adding additional repeats (pattern includes how to).

While trying to come up with a memorable name for this pattern, with its blocks tipping from side to side, I was reminded of summer evenings at a friend’s home and her Martini Porch Parties under the stars. Could it be that the stitch designer’s inspiration came after an evening of “tipsiness” ? - we may never know.

Finished measurements: 57” long x 6” wide after blocking.

Gauge: 20-21” in stockinette st. Gauge is not critical to the project, however, it could impact the size of your finished project.

Materials needed: Project used Rolling E Ranch Baby Alpaca DK weight yarn.
