This chair/stool topper (or cover) is made of crocheted strips woven together and set in place by a crocheted edge. Tasselled, crocheted cords are tied around the chair legs to keep the topper in place. The woven section measures about 43cm (17”), while the edge is about 5cm (2”) deep.

I used one ball of each of 6 colours (one colour for the edging and five colours for the strips) to make the one sample cover, with a fair bit left over of each.

The patterns uses the usual stitches (in UK terms) of ch, dc and tr. Intermediate or adventurous beginners are suited to this project.
