This is a crochet pattern for a snowy owl that is also a wizard. It is a fairly large plushie, at 12 inches foot to head, the hat then adds another 3 inches.
In this project you will use unique stitches such as the alpine stitch (fpdc and dc) and the crab stitch. If you have never used these stitches before I would recommend you find a video tutorial and practice before starting the project.

The main body of the owl is minimal sewing, the wings are attached while crocheting in the round.

Featuring the front/back post double crochet! And the pattern includes appliques for the stars and moon.

Size: 12 inches, 15 inches with the hat, perfect for hugs!
Difficulty: Medium. Beginner friendly, but not recommended as your first amigurumi. The hardest part I think would be the cape, as that is where the most detail is created, but it shouldn’t be too bad.
Stitches (US): sl, sc, inc, dec, dc, dcinc, dctog, bpsc, fpsc, bpdc, fpdc, and the crab stitch - also called reverse single crochet

The yarn I used: worsted weight, 4 ply. I personally prefer Red Heart brand since they have the most color options in my area.
You will need no more than one 364 yard skein each

30 mm safety eyes (or another alternative eye the same size. Safety eyes are a choking hazard)
