Massive Attack is a throw/blanket that is made using chunky weight yarn and five colours. A textured blanket with garter stitch short rows that approach the left and right flank, giving it an interesting arrangement, as well as fun colour-changing possibilities.

Colour Management
Colour 1 (C1) is the link colour that works between all the other colours. Colour 2 (C2), Colour 3 (C3), Colour 4 (C4) and Colour 5 (C5) will feature the flanked stripes and middle wedge throughout the blanket.

Yarn Quantity
Suggested yarn: Plucky Snug 112g (70% Merino, 20% Cashmere, 10% Alpaca) 110yds (101m).
4 skeins of C1.
2 skeins each of C2, C3, C4 and C5.
Grand Total: 12 skeins.

Size & Resizing
Finished size (before blocking): 36” (92cm) wide by 49” (125cm) high.

To make the blanket wider, simply add an even number of stitches at cast on. To make the blanket longer, keep going until you reach your desired length. In both cases this will require more yarn, therefore keep an extra skein of each colour handy.

Tools
8mm (US 11) (or size required to get gauge) circular needles of 80cm (32”) or longer,
1 split-ring stitch marker (Any removable stitch marker will do. This marker will be used to attach to the knitting and not on the needles), measuring tape and yarn needle for weaving in ends.
