Mate
Mate - Pullover with Stranded Colorwork
Mate was inspired by classic Scandinavian fishermen’s sweaters with a simple pattern, such as this one worn by the mate on the SS Godthåb in a photo from the 1940s.
The sweater has a two-color stranded knitting motif of staggered “lice.” Easy to knit, this pullover was designed with raglan sleeves, a doubled ribbed neckband, and ribbing to edge the sleeves and body.
