The dress is worked bottom up with one thread of each quality held together. You cast on by knitting an i-cord, then pick up stitches in this. The dress is first knitted in stockinette stitch back and forth to create a split. Then it`s knitted in the round up to under the arms, and the rest of the work is knitted back and forth, while decreasing, first on both sides, then only on one side. The sleeve is also cast on with an i-cord where you pick up stitches, and then it is first knitted in the round, then back and forth. Finally, it ends with knitting pleats and casting off. The sleeve is sewn on at the end.

Garment measurements:

Waist circumference (approx): 73 (81) 88 (97) 106 (115) cm

The model in the photo is wearing size 2, usually wears a size M,
and has approximately 15 cm of negative ease at the bust.
Note: The garment will stretch somewhat with wear.
We therefore recommend choosing a size with approximately 12–15 cm of negative ease at the bust.

Yarn requirements:
The dress is knitted with Eco Puno (215 m/50 g) and Seta Suri (212 m/25 g) from Lana Grossa.

Eco puno: 200 (300) 300 (350) 350 (350) g.
Seta suri: 100 (125) 150 (150) 175 (175) g.

Recommended needles:
Dress: Circular needles 5 mm and 4.5 mm, 60 or 80 cm cables.
Sleeves:
3.5 mm needles for i-cord
4.5 mm circular needle, 40 cm cable – or use magic loop or double-pointed needles.
You will also need two 4.5 mm needles to work the sleeve pleats (can be DPNs, cable needles, or similar).

Circular needle, 60 cm, is sufficient for the upper body in sizes 1–3.
Larger sizes can use either 60 cm or 80 cm.

Gauge:
20 sts × 30 rows = 10 cm using 4.5 mm needles
18 sts × 25 rows = 10 cm using 5 mm needles
