Lace tiers give frothy femininity to an ombre lace dress. The perfect piece for an afternoon picnic.

Finished Size 30 (34, 37, 41½, 44½)“ bust circumference, 24½ (27¾, 31½, 35¼, 39)” waist circumference, and 30 (33½, 37, 40¾, 45)“ hip circumference. Dress shown measures 30” bust circumference, modeled with minimal ease.

Yarn Cascade Yarns Alpaca Lace (100% baby alpaca; 437 yd 400 m/1¾ oz 50 g): #1405 ecru (MC), 5 (6, 6, 7, 8) skeins; #1408 flax (yellow; CC1), #1425 provence (rust; CC2), and #1415 red wine heather (CC3), 1 (1, 2, 2, 2) skein(s) each.

Needles Body—sizes 1½ (2.5 mm) and 3 (3.25 mm): 24–32” circular (cir), depending on size. Bands—size 1½ (2.5 mm): 16” cir. Lace panels—size 6 (4 mm): 24” cir. Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.

Notions Markers (m); stitch holders; tapestry needle; three ¼“ snaps; two 1½” pieces of ½“ wide grosgrain ribbon; sewing needle and thread.
