A classic, double-brim plaid hat. Pattern is written to have a thick ie. long brim, however this can be easily adjusted. Available in normal/standard adult as well as adult extra-large (XL) as Matt’s head is extra large ☺️.

Pattern includes charts and links to youtube videos for clarification. A perfect beginner-friendly colorwork pattern.

Size: Adult is meant for head circumferences of 54-58 cm (21.2 - 22.8in), and adult XL is meant for head circumferences of 59-63 cm (23.2 - 24.8in) .

Recommended Yarn: Cascade Superwash Sport in Black and Army Green

Yards: ~125 meters (137 yards) for your primary/brim color (in the sample, black) and ~100 meters (~109 yards) in the secondary color. If you purchase the recommended yarn, 1 skein of each color is perfect and allows a little extra to make a pom pom if you so desire.

I would also recommend a tapestry needle for binding off. You will use 4.0mm needles for the double-twisted rib brim and 5.0 mm needles for the body.
