The May Morning is a crescent shaped shawl worked from the middle back of the neck down to the border.
It has a total of 120 pattern rows.

Suggested yarn and tools:

• Light fingering or laceweight yarn of natural fibres (500-900 m per 100 g);
• Size 6/0-11/0 seed bead;
• Size 2.75 – 4.5 mm circular needles;
• Size 0.5 – 0.6 mm crochet hook for beading.

The sample used:

• Haapsalu Shawl Yarn (100% wool, 1400 m/100g), with 2 strands of yarn held together, 50 g in total;
• Size 11/0 seed bead, 10 g;
• Size 3.0 mm circular needles;
• Size 4.0 mm circular needles for binding off;
• Size 0.5mm crochet hook for beading.

Finished measurements: 115 cm along the wingspan and 35 cm depth from CO to BO edge, measured after blocking.
Finished shawl weight is 60 g, including beads.
Finished size of your shawl will depend on yarn choice, needle size and your individual manner of knitting.
Charts show only the right side (RS) rows; they are read from right to left. On the wrong side (WS) rows all stitches are purled.
Edge stitches: Each row begins and ends with the three edge stitches; the edge stitches are not shown on the charts. Work these stitches every row as follows: either slip the 1st stitch purlwise or k1 (if preferred); k2; work in pattern as established until 3 stitches remain; k3.

Размер готового изделия зависит от выбранной пряжи, номера спиц и индивидуальной манеры вязания.
На схемах указаны только лицевые ряды, они читаются справа налево. Изнаночные ряды вязать изнаночными петлями.
Все ряды, и лицевые, и изнаночные начинаются и заканчиваются 3 лицевыми кромочными петлями - это петли ленточки, они на схеме не показаны. Первую петлю в каждом ряду - снимать, или провязывать лицевой.
