Mayberry is a cosy beret that’s stylish enough to wear with your best winter outfit. The beret features a garter stitch cuff that is very stretchy yet soft, making Mayberry comfortable to wear whilst staying put.

You can style Mayberry as a beret or pull it down around your face to wear as a slouchy beanie.

A rapid increase round after the cuff is followed by rounds of enjoyable, simple lace knitting before shaping the crown. This beret is knitted in 5ply 50/50 organic cotton & merino, giving you a warm fabric with a lovely amount of drape to it and excellent stitch definition.

Technique & Skill Level

Skill Level: Intermediate

Knitted in-the-round using multiple directional decrease methods during the lace and crown shaping.
The lace pattern on the beret is a simple repeat that you’ll find quick to get into the rhythm of, broken up with a plain round every alternate round. The lace instructions are provided in written format only (no charts). The pattern is presented in a clear, easy-to-follow format and a video tutorial is included for the crown shaping.
