Maypole Cowl
The Maypole Cowl is a snuggly warm, fully lined cowl knit in helical single row stripes that will keep you warm in the face of the coldest Spring gales. Helix Knitting is a wonderful skill to add to your stash. This project will teach you to knit in multiple color single row stripes without having any awkward jogs or seams.
Yarn Chasing Rabbits Fiber Co: One set of five 20g minis in Fern for the striped portion, and one skein of a complementary color in Fern for the lining.
Finished Measurements 25” Circumference, 13” tall.
Needles US 3 (3.25mm) on a 16 cable, plus a second set of the same size to use for grafting.
Notions Tapestry needle, scrap yarn, crochet hook for provisional cast-on, marker
Gauge 28 STS x 40 Rows = 4” x 4” in stockinette. Adjust needle size to obtain correct gauge.
