This Color Loops design uses “upside down” loops of different colors to knit in diagonals that cross each other. Maximum effect of color play, with no bobbins or tangles, no loss in stretchiness, and no added thickness. The upside down Color Loops do require some sort of weaving in, though…

The sock construction uses my generic instructions, so if you’d like detailed instructions, please see the Color Loops ebook or Color Loops and Perfect Sock tutorial which have the entire sock-a-long knit with words and photos, along with the tutorial of how to set up the Color Loops.

Yarn credits for this sample sock:

Malabrigo ochre in kettle-dyed superwash merino, purchased from Green Planet Yarn, San Jose, CA 2018.

Crystal Palace Mochi Plus Aran, 80% merino and 20% nylon, gifted from a friend.
