These earrings are bold, colorful, and beautiful, just like the Maypop flower itself. These earrings are easily my best-sellers in markets, and head-turners whenever I wear them out in public. I’ve made pairs to match all of my outfits. And the best part-- they’re bold, but featherlight! You won’t even notice you’re wearing them.

The earrings feature two bead options:
-Beaded dangles only
-Beaded border with beaded dangles

I made my Maypop Earrings with Size 10 crochet thread from the following brands:

-Aunt Lydia’s Classic 10 Cotton Crochet Thread
-Omega Crochet Cotton 10

The pattern features complete crochet diagrams, written instructions, and pictures for every single step. There is also a link to a video showing how I attach my beads. While intermediate-advanced crocheters may find this earring pattern the easiest, I encourage confident beginners to also try it!

The Maypop Earrings are inspired by my favorite plant ever, the Maypop, Passiflora incarnata.
The Maypop is the most northern Passiflora-- unlike the other Passiflora species, it can survive the cold winters of NYC and resprout in spring!
