The classic shape of the Meadow Beret is decorated with an all-over scattering of flowers using the innovative technique of assigned pooling.
Assigned pooling occurs when a different texture is isolated within a color change in a skein of specially designed variegated yarn. In this case, garter stitch is assigned to the background color to provide a structured backdrop for the aster stitch assigned to the accent color.
A haloed lace weight yarn is marled together with the AP yarn for maximum softness and warmth.

Yarn: 1 skein of Shiny Brites on Barker Wool BFL Fingering
AND 1 skein of Serenade on Barker Wool Zephyr.
Gossamer may be substituted for the Zephyr if you prefer mohair/silk over Suri alpaca/silk.
