I’m offering this pattern for free right now. For anyone who needs comfort during the Covid-19 crisis.

Knitting is something that soothes us, comforts us and gives us resiliency to handle the challenges that life throws at us. No matter what our plan in life is, for each day or long term goals you need to be ready to turn and adapt, just like the centre spine on this shawl.
The Meandering Path shawl was designed to showcase yarns with long slow colour changes. This is written as both a pattern and a recipe and will work for a single skein of colour or a gradient with 3, 4, 5 or 6 colour changes. This top-down triangular shawl has an extra set of increases which gives it a wider wingspan to allow it to wrap around your neck several times. And a zig-zag shape to the centre spin adds an interesting detail.

This shawl was designed to use a Lake Knit Yarns Gradient Cake but will work for any gradient or ombre yarn from any company. Or knit it in a solid for something mores subtle but beautiful.

Gauge is not essential but will change the size of the finished shawl.
