If you are familiar with entrelac, you will quickly see that the squares in this pattern are crocheted using a similar technique. Each row of squares is made in one continuous color, allowing you to move easily from one square to the next without cutting your yarn. Of course, if you enjoy weaving in ends or just have a lot of small balls of yarn, you are certainly welcome to make your squares all different colors.
